Senior Adult Ministry Leader: Johnnie Fincher Our Purpose
We exist to meet the needs of adults 55 and over through spiritual enrichment
activities, continued learning, social interaction, and service opportunities.
"Senior" Is Relative
In the Senior Adult Ministry at Calvary, we know that being age 55 or
older is just the beginning. In fact, we're among the most active and
involved groups in our whole Faith Family. We love to serve, rather
than be served. We love to give of ourselves, rather than receive from
others. It's a vibrant, amazing, fun season of life--and we believe in
living it to the fullest! We are Young at Heart!
Created to Serve
Senior adults are seasoned, filtered through the tight weave of realism,
heartache, loss, and compromise. Like a massive tree, they provide
needed shade, add beauty to the landscape, and do not mind being used.
With programs such as Touch Ministry, Rosewood Ministry, Young at
Heart Choir, Sewing Circle and more Calvary's senior adults truly believe
we were created to serve.
Influence Is Important
Senior adults should be good examples. To meet the needs of hurting
people we must keep our eyes on Jesus and care for them as He did.
That's what Young at Heart is about!
